The Challenge

The need was a one-stop discipleship app for Iranians, giving safe access to the Gospel under a repressive regime. It bundles Bibles, sermons, articles, music, children’s materials, etc.

The Solution

Built in-house by Transform Iran (launched Jan 2021). Likely built with a cross-platform framework (Flutter/ReactNative etc) or native. Content is curated by TI (multiple translations, dramatizations).

The app features over 1,000 teaching videos, 300 audio messages, 200 books, 100 articles, 250 worship songs, 12 Christian movies, Farsi Bible (text + audio), plus audio dramas of Bible translations in Iran’s minority languages [transformiran.com]. Also links to live “digital church” meetings, prayer rooms, apologetics Q&A, Bible college, radio. Crucially, users can download all Bible text and audio for offline use [mnnonline.org, transformiran.com]. Distribution is stealthy: people grab the app by scanning a QR code (bypassing app stores and avoiding detection) [mnnonline.org]. The developers stress it’s free and anonymous (“not about profit… access in an easy, convenient, and safe way” mnnonline.org).

The mobile app is built for Android and iOS. Contains thousands of media files packaged for offline delivery. Likely uses local database/storage for Bible text, audio. Updates/content pushes done via TI’s own servers when online.

Results & Growth

• It offers safe, anonymous access to Christian content in a country where open evangelism and Bible ownership can be dangerous.
